Well, folks, I'm a college graduate! How strange. It was a crazy, wonderful, busy weekend.
Friday morning/afternoon was spent studying and test-taking. Mom and Troy met me after the test and we went to dinner at Mirko's. Yummy pasta and salads! Then it was off to music school graduation. Fun to see everybody who suffered through music theory and aural skills together back in freshman year walking across the stage.
Friday night Kaitlin, Wendy and I dressed up for a graduation throw back party as ninja turtles!! It was awesome!
When people asked where Michelangelo was, we told them that we lost him. We definitely won best costume of the night.
Saturday I went to a rehearsal for our wind ensemble tour in Argentina!! woo!! My family came out and we had a delicious lunch at Porterhouse Grill, then walked around North Campus taking fun pictures. Then it was time to head to the stadium and graduate!
Megan and I in the stadium.
It was hot and there were tons of people but it was SO fun! Alton Brown was our (hilarious) speaker and there was an awesome fireworks display afterwards.
Sunday was spent celebrating Mom (by her cooking lunch... I don't think that was how it was supposed to work...) and going to Hilary's last GYSO concert. Got back to Athens around 10:30... still not packed and laundry still had to be done. Whoops. Needless to say it was a very late night... or early morning, whichever way you want to look at it... but I'm not driving the bus or flying the plane today, so I think I'm good to go.
So I'm leaving for Argentina!! Back in a week with many stories to share.
Love from a happy graduate and excited traveler!!
Lauren
