Lunchtime Lessons

Today, I got to have lunch with two awesome ladies. It was pretty great.

Dr. Hutchinson has been my mentor for the past four years at UGA. I LOVE this woman! She is amazing. She came to all of my recitals, helped me find a doctor to shadow, and gives great hugs. We've had lots of lunches and coffees over the past four years. This picture is from my senior recital - we're pretty happy, huh?

The second lady was my mom. I've had her around a little longer than four years, and she gives pretty awesome hugs too. She made it to all the recitals too - and concerts, and shows, for about eleven years worth of oboe now. She's a trooper. Also, I have turned her into a Georgia football fan, as shown by our pre-Independence Bowl get up this past Christmas break.

Anyway. It was such a treat to have lunch with these two. Yummy food, great conversation, and lots of laughs and hugs. Just my kind of lunch!

After that I went to my LAST undergrad class!! Eek! Then got my First Aid certification. My test is proudly displayed on our fridge to prove it (need a splint? Give me a call). Heading out to celebrate the end of classes with the double reeds tonight. Productive last day? I'd say so.

Tomorrow I am going kayaking!! So excited! Wendy, Kaitlin, Tara and I are going to conquer that Broad River in the morning. Bring it on. Then we are taking graduation pictures at the arch tomorrow afternoon, courtesy of Kaitie. If this is what life is like post-undergrad classes... I could get used to it. :-)

Here's to Friday!
Lauren
