Rhythms of Radiance

I have been on a quest for a blog title for awhile now, and have had some very interesting/unique suggestions along the way. For example:

"The Logic Behind it All" (an inside joke with my dear friend Mary...)

"The Artistic Ramblings of an Infinite Soul" (props to Lindsey for that one.. but I didn't want to disappoint my droves of fans when my ramblings were surprisingly low in artistic ability)

"Schwhat?!?" (a favorite saying among my roommies)

But I just couldn't find the right one. Then my friend Kristen (are you keeping up with all the name dropping in this post?!?) suggested combining two of my greatest passions: music and my faith.

Music started with piano in first grade and has stuck around all the way through college. Oboe is my main instrument but I love to play lots of others (guitar especially!) and sing and listen to music and... well you get the picture. So music = rhythms.

And my faith? Well... it is a journey. Thank goodness. But I am loving learning about Jesus and what faith really is what it looks like to live it out. So the radiance part comes from one of my favorite verses, Psalm 34:5....

"Those who look to Him are radiant, their faces are never covered with shame."

So there you have it. Rhythms of Radiance. Learning to look to Him in the everyday rhythms, and the not-so-everyday. And loving it.
